Special Session 10
NUMERICAL MODELING OF STRUCTURES (SS10)
The intention of this Special Session is to bring scientists together to discuss different methods of numerical modeling of a wide spectrum of engineering structures, and their applicability in structural engineering.
TOPICS:
- Numerical models for civil engineering materials, such as: wood, concrete, steel, glass, aluminum, plastic, etc.
- Numerical modeling of non-linear effects in civil engineering materials (yielding, creeping, shrinkage, aging);
- New and improved numerical models for Structures' behavior
- Behavior of Structures under various kinds of loads such as: Static loads, Dynamic loads, Special loads (impact load, fire load, etc.), Earthquake
- Numerical modeling of coupled problems
- Special investigation on improvement of design and calculating procedures for civil engineering structures (Improvement of codes)
